Loro Piana

Quarona · since 1924

Rarity as the measure

Cashmere, vicuña and extrafine merino: for a century, Loro Piana has started from the fibre to arrive at the cloth.

Before the design, before the colour, what matters at Loro Piana is origin.

Cashmere from northern China and Mongolia, vicuña from the Andes, extrafine merino from Australia and New Zealand: every cloth begins with a raw material sought at its source, as the family has done since the nineteenth century, when it traded wool in Valsesia.

In 1924 the engineer Pietro Loro Piana founded the company that bears his name in Quarona.

On the cutting table, a Loro Piana cloth is recognised by hand before it is seen: softness, lightness, a drape that follows the body without weighing on it. Baby Cashmere, combed from the undercoat of kids in their first months, is its rarest expression.

For outerwear, Storm System® brings waterproofing and wind protection to natural fibres that remain breathable.
